How long do I have to leave my vehicle?

A. We only need your vehicle for 2 hours if you have an appointment. If you do not have an appointment, and you are willing to leave your vehicle, we can work it in for you.

Will there be any tape on my car when I pick it up?

A. No. A car never leaves Elko Glass Service with tape holding the windshield in. Our adhesive sets up in 45 minutes and will meet all crash test safety standards so you and your occupants will be safe as soon as you leave our shop.

How do I get and Elko Glass T-shirt?

A. Every Customer gets a free Elko Glass T-shirt with a windshield replacement. We have all different colors and sizes so be sure to ask for yours.

Do you have a warranty?

A. Yes. We warranty our workmanship for the life of the windshield. We also provide free rock chip repair with your new windshield.

Do you bill my insurance company?

A. We are happy to bill your insurance company. A claim must be filed by the insured first. Each insurance company has a phone number to call which is usually found on the "proof of insurance" card. Call that number and tell them you want Elko Glass Service to replace your windshield.

What if my insurance company tries to get me to go to another shop?

A. It is important that you know who you are talking to when you call in a claim. Most insurance companies have contracted with thrid party vendors to handle their claims. By law, you have the right to go to the shop of your choice. We can bill all insurance companies. Most vendors own their own glass shops and are actually trying to get your business. This is called steering, and it is illegal.

What is OE (Original Equipment)? Is it better?

A. OE is the original equipment brand that is put in your car when it is assembled. Auto manufacturers do not make their own glass. You might have a few different brands of glass in your car. We at Elko Glass Service have been installing glass for many years, and we know what brand is best for your car.

How many years of experience do your installers have?

A. Elko Glass Service is a family owned and operated business. Rick is a 3rd generation glass installer.

All of the installers employed at Elko Glass Service learned to install glass at Elko Glass Service. They have generations of knowledge passed down to them, and we feel they have learned from the best. Nobody knows and understand the glass industry the way Elko Glass Service does.

Do you offer mobile service?

A. No. The best place to replace the glass in your car is in our state-of-the-art facility. This way we can guarantee proper installation.
